| 1) San Francisco: Alex Smith, QB, Utah Smith is taller than Aaron Rodgers, and with more upside. 2) Miami: Ronnie Brown, RB, Auburn After all their posturing, this is the biggest need. 3) Cleveland: Braylon Edwards, WR, Michigan 50-50 chance the pick is traded to Minnesota. 4) Chicago: Cedric Benson, RB, Texas Benson is the big back that is needed for their offense. 5) Tampa Bay: Mike Williams, WR, USC Carnell Williams is the other logical choice. 6) Tennessee: Antrel Rolle, CB, Miami Rolle has the size and just enough speed. 7) Minnesota: Derrick Johnson, LB, Texas 50-50 chance the pick is traded to Cleveland. 8) Arizona: Carnell Williams, RB, Auburn Dennis Green gets his franchise running back. 9) Washington: Adam Jones, CB, West Virginia Jones will start immediately in Fred Smoot’s place. 10) Detroit: Aaron Rodgers, QB, California Rodgers slides like Ben Roethlisberger in 2004. 11) Dallas: Shawn Merriman, DE/OLB, Maryland Merriman adds flexibility for a 3-4 or 4-3 defense. 12) San Diego: Demarcus Ware, OLB, Troy Troy is raw, but he can play OLB in the Chargers defense. 13) Houston: Alex Barron, OT, Florida State The Texans lost out on Orlando Pace, they get Barron. 14) Carolina: Troy Williamson, WR, South Carolina A weapon to help replace receiver Muhsin Muhammad. 15) Kansas City: Carlos Rogers, CB, Auburn Rodgers may become the best cornerback in the draft. 16) New Orleans: Jammal Brown, OT, Oklahoma Brown would plug a big hole at right tackle. 17) Cincinnati: Thomas Davis, S/OLB, Georgia Coach Marvin Lewis will figure out his best position. 18) Minnesota: Erasmus James, DE, Wisconsin James is big and quick enough to play DE in the 4-3 . 19) St. Louis: Khalif Barnes, OT, Washington Barnes would play right tackle opposite Orlando Pace. 20) Dallas: Marcus Spears, DE, LSU Parcells puts another defender in his grocery bag. 21) Jacksonville: David Pollack, DE, Georgia Marcellus Wiley is not an answer at defensive end. 22) Baltimore: Mark Clayton, WR, Oklahoma The Ravens pray that Clayton falls this far. 23) Seattle: Travis Johnson, DT, Florida State Johnson is the best defensive tackle in the draft. 24) Green Bay: Dan Cody, DE, Oklahoma Another pass rusher to take some pressure off KGB. 25) Washington (From Denver): Jason Campbell, QB, Auburn The Redskins paid a lot to trade up, a quarterback makes sense. 26) Oakland (From NY Jets): Justin Miller, CB, Clemson Oakland needs a cornerback to replace Phillip Buchanon. 27) Atlanta: Matt Roth, DE, Iowa Shaun Cody is a DT/DE tweener who is another choice. 28) San Diego: Roddy White, WR, UAB Chargers need a young WR who can stay healthy. 29) Indianapolis: Fabian Washington, CB, Nebraska The Colts love speed, and Washington has plenty of it. 30) Pittsburgh: Heath Miller, TE, Virginia Miller helps make up for the loss of Plaxico Burress. 31) Philadelphia: Matt Jones, WR, Arkansas The Eagles will try to trade up for Mark Clayton. 32) New England: Corey Webster, CB, LSU Webster is a value pick. Linebacker can wait until Rd 2. |
